How to identify naturally ripened Haapus?

Colour
- Naturally Ripened: Have a uniform golden-yellow colour with slight red or green patches.
- Artificially Ripened: Tend to have an unnaturally bright or shiny yellow colour, sometimes entirely uniform without any patches.

Aroma
- Naturally Ripened: Emit a strong, sweet, and fruity aroma, especially near the stem.
- Artificially Ripened: Lack a strong natural smell or may have a faint chemical odour due to ripening agents like calcium carbide or ethephon.

Texture
- Naturally Ripened: The skin feels smooth and firm but slightly soft to touch when pressed gently.
- Artificially Ripened: May feel unnaturally soft or excessively hard in some spots. The skin might have a powdery residue from ripening chemicals.
